First up, thanks a lot for the masses of awesome messages you've left us.... firstly, for Luke joining Iced Earth with effect from June & secondly, for Chris & Martin with their new band project. Remember that Fury UK doesn't end it just goes on-hold until such time as Chris, Luke & Martin are available & ready to do something together again.

Most importantly today here we have the new Fury UK video & free mp3 download of the new song "Taste The Blood". The video was filmed over 3 shows - Hammerfest, North Wales, in March, then the 2 Belgium shows, PPM Fest (Mons) & De Verlichte Geest (Roeselare), earlier in April. The song is a giveaway as a small thank you to all of you guys for the awesome support. There's no immediate or likely plans for the song to be on a CD in the foreseeable future so grab it while you can! :)

British metal band Fury UK proudly announces that bassist Luke Appleton is to join US metal powerhouse Iced Earth, with whom the band toured across Europe last winter. Luke replaces Freddie Vidales who has announced his intention to retire from Iced Earth after completion of the band's Chinese shows this April.

The Cyprus show is being filmed & recorded for an upcoming DVD/CD release.

Meanwhile, Fury UK founder-member & lead vocalist/lead guitarist Chris Appleton has recently begun work on a new band, along with Fury UK drummer Martin McNee. More announcements on this are coming very soon but Chris explains initially....

"Having known for a week or two about Luke's fantastic opportunity with Iced Earth & in any case, always hungry to try something different, Martin & myself have laid plans for a new British metal band. The key difference from Fury UK is this new band will feature a 2nd lead guitarist so I'll be exploring my love for twin lead guitar in the great British tradition of bands like Iron Maiden & Irish rockers Thin Lizzy"

Naturally, this news will have an impact on plans for Fury UK from June onwards & they'll have more details on that soon. Meantime, they confirm the band's UK & European shows during April & May will all go ahead as planned, with Luke in place. At the same time they also want to make it clear that the announcements today do not spell the end for Fury UK.

A brand new Fury UK track "Taste The Blood" will be available to fans as a free mp3 download during the next couple of weeks, with a video also put together from the recent performances at Hammerfest (N.Wales), PPM Fest (Belgium) & Roeselare (Belgium).

Thank you Hammerfest....

Just want to say a massive thank you to everyone who supported us at Hammerfest yesterday. Fantastic turnout & we were also excited to play "Taste The Blood" for the first time. Hope you liked it. That was our 1st gig of 2012 after a 2 1/2 month break, now cannot wait for the tour to start. See you out there! \m/\m/

Headline slot at Sunk Fest announced

We're very happy to have recently accepted an invitation to headline Sunk Fest. This takes place on August 18th in the Hull area. Awesome \m/

Current plans....

Currently planning & working on a DVD during the first half of 2012. We have so much footage especially from the tour with Iced Earth last year, seems crazy not to share it. Expect live footage from shows, backstage, soundchecks, on the road tour diary & scrapbook shots. Also continuing to write material for a 4th album for release later this year, whilst there's no let-up on the touring front. Laying plans right now for more shows in UK & Europe in April & May so watch this space!

Happy New Year!

We're just getting ready for our gig tonight - the final date of our European Tour 2011 & it looks like we'll be seeing a great many of you at the venue tonight as there's just a small handful of tickets remaining.

We'll see many of you there, but for those not able to make it along we wish you here & now a very Happy & Successful 2012 & we look forward to hooking up again next year.

Fury UK jam with Iced Earth....

We were honoured to jam with Iced Earth in Ludwigsburg, Germany, for our last show together on 11th December, marking the end of Iced Earth's European leg of their World Tour. The song choice was Jon Schaffer's - the awesome "War Machine" by KISS.



The tour is complete except for our homecoming/New Years Eve show at The Towler, Bury which we're really looking forward to. We have lots to tell & thank you's to be said when we get our act together(!), currently just collecting our thoughts after a truly amazing 6 weeks on the road.

For now we thank our metal brothers from Iced Earth - Jon, Stu, Freddie, Troy & Brent, plus all their crew & management, all of whom could not have treated us any better. You are all awesome. Thanks also to the amazing friendship & support from fans at each show. More video, photos, reviews, stories soon.

Update from Europe

Hi everyone, we're putting updates whenever we can on our official Facebook but very seldom getting a chance on here. Please look us up on Facebook for some photos from the European Tour shows & plenty of cool comments from new friends. We've visited the most amazing countries & venues, & have been made to feel so welcome. Thank you all.

We're in Helsinki, Finland now, with a couple of days off before we play Nosturi on 1st December. Before that we're going to see Clutch at the same venue the night before which will be very cool. Right now waiting for Pizzaaaaaaa, whilst enjoying a few beers.

After Helsinki we head down to Copenhagen, Denmark before returning to Germany to pick up the thread there, also going to Switzerland for a headline show as well as a continuation of the shows with Iced Earth at Z7, Pratteln where we've always had an amazing time. Not forgetting our headline show in Belgium on 12th December, before returning to UK to finish our tour & of course the year as a whole with a special extended headline set on home territory - The Towler, Bury on New Years Eve. Remember this exclusive event is ticket-only.

We're honoured to be main support band on the Iced Earth tour now as White Wizzard had to finish early. We wish them all the very best & although sad for them, quietly we are grateful for the opportunity to step up as main support. The Iced Earth guys also have been fantastic with us & a definite highpoint for Luke was jamming with the band on "Burning Times" during Iced Earth's soundcheck in Vilnius, Lithuania.

European Tour starts next week

Just one week from today we begin our 35 date European Tour, including 32 dates with Iced Earth & White Wizzard, plus 3 headline shows in Switzerland, Belgium & finally a special New Years Eve show back home in the UK.
