Fury UK jam with Iced Earth....
We were honoured to jam with Iced Earth in Ludwigsburg, Germany, for our last show together on 11th December, marking the end of Iced Earth's European leg of their World Tour. The song choice was Jon Schaffer's - the awesome "War Machine" by KISS.
The tour is complete except for our homecoming/New Years Eve show at The Towler, Bury which we're really looking forward to. We have lots to tell & thank you's to be said when we get our act together(!), currently just collecting our thoughts after a truly amazing 6 weeks on the road.
For now we thank our metal brothers from Iced Earth - Jon, Stu, Freddie, Troy & Brent, plus all their crew & management, all of whom could not have treated us any better. You are all awesome. Thanks also to the amazing friendship & support from fans at each show. More video, photos, reviews, stories soon.

Update from Europe
Hi everyone, we're putting updates whenever we can on our official Facebook but very seldom getting a chance on here. Please look us up on Facebook for some photos from the European Tour shows & plenty of cool comments from new friends. We've visited the most amazing countries & venues, & have been made to feel so welcome. Thank you all.
We're in Helsinki, Finland now, with a couple of days off before we play Nosturi on 1st December. Before that we're going to see Clutch at the same venue the night before which will be very cool. Right now waiting for Pizzaaaaaaa, whilst enjoying a few beers.
After Helsinki we head down to Copenhagen, Denmark before returning to Germany to pick up the thread there, also going to Switzerland for a headline show as well as a continuation of the shows with Iced Earth at Z7, Pratteln where we've always had an amazing time. Not forgetting our headline show in Belgium on 12th December, before returning to UK to finish our tour & of course the year as a whole with a special extended headline set on home territory - The Towler, Bury on New Years Eve. Remember this exclusive event is ticket-only.
We're honoured to be main support band on the Iced Earth tour now as White Wizzard had to finish early. We wish them all the very best & although sad for them, quietly we are grateful for the opportunity to step up as main support. The Iced Earth guys also have been fantastic with us & a definite highpoint for Luke was jamming with the band on "Burning Times" during Iced Earth's soundcheck in Vilnius, Lithuania.
Thanks again, hopefully we'll get chance for more updates soon but please don't forget to keep liking/following on our official Facebook & Twitter accounts.

33 European Tour dates with Iced Earth
We're very excited to finally announce our European tour dates & we hope it's worth the wait.... we've been chosen as guests on 33 dates of the European leg of Iced Earth's World Tour.
The tour begins in Germany on 30th October & continues through to 11th December, with a final date back in Germany. The full band line-up is Iced Earth / White Wizzard / Fury UK.
The tour also includes a very welcome return to 3 UK venues.... London O2 Islington Academy, Bristol O2 Academy & Birmingham O2 Academy, on November 4th, 5th & 6th respectively.
This is a brilliant chance for us to get much further into Europe than we ever have before. Although we'll be going back to Belgium, Switzerland, Greece, Holland & France where we've had fantastic times in the past, we're visiting many countries for the first time this time around.
It's also a real honour to be joining Iced Earth on tour - they're big influences on us in so many ways.
Iced Earth will play 36 dates in-all on this European leg of their World Tour. These shows will be the United States metal band's first with new vocalist Stu Block who takes over from Matt Barlow who retires, having closed his tenure with the band with a fitting finale of summer festival appearances. Iced Earth release new album "Dystopia" on Century Media on October 17th in Europe & on October 28th in the U.S.
Ripping it up in the middle slot on this tour is White Wizzard, also from the U.S.
For more information on each of these bands, please visit the websites....

End of tour / looking forward....
Strange times at Fury UK headquarters as our tour is finished. We're so used to being on the road & it's always weird when we stop! We've covered some amazing trips since the beginning of the tour, playing 35 dates including 12 with Saxon who were awesome to be around & encouraged us totally. We've been up & down the UK while also visiting Belgium (3 times for 5 shows), Holland & France. The highs far outweigh the lows & we've met some awesome people & the support has been brilliant. Thank you to every single one of you that came to the shows & helped make them special.
Since the end of the tour Chris has found himself in the crowd at Download checking some awesome tuneage, Luke's been chilling & sinking one or two cold ones but also working a bit more on some new songs, whilst Martin has been working on his gear - more exciting news on that soon!
We now look forward to playing Preston, Frog & Bucket, for Metal Army Promotions on June 28th, which will make sure we're very ready also for SOS Festival on 16th July. Will be tweaking the setlist a fair bit for these shows - time again for a change! Details of these 2 dates & how to get tickets are all at the website as usual www.furyuk.com
Keep watching for more info on gigs for the last 4 months of the year, where as well as headlining the Rock n Wrestle Festival in Wakefield on September 10th, we also expect to confirm European dates, plus if we get chance a further small amount of UK dates too.
We've been working on new material & in fact there's the broad outline of 10+ songs already but there's plenty of work to do yet & only after we've finished the year with gigs will we be able to think about sitting down to complete the songwriting properly & enter the studio in 2012 to record a new album. Based on your brilliant feedback on "A Way Of Life" we certainly have our work cut out if we're going to top that! Along with the new album we promise also to come up with a proper music video for the first time - something a lot of you have asked for & we haven't yet got round to doing. We will, this time!
Thanks again. See you out there again very soon! It's what we do! \m/ \m/

Thank you France & Belgium
Massive thanks to the excellent people at Blue Devils Bar, Arras (France) & Cafe Metro, Waarschoot (Belgium) for our gigs this weekend. We had an awesome time, meeting new people in Arras & at Waarschoot we also met up with many familiar Belgian faces from Wizzfest plus some new ones. Special thanks to Wizz & Caroline for looking after us & of course to the band Wizzard for playing these gigs with us. Also a special mention goes to Lee Birch who made an 850 mile round trip from Cumbria (UK) to see us in Arras, also Jolanda & Silvana who travelled from Holland to Waarschoot.
More pics to come but here's a quick preview from the photoshoot we did with Silvana.
We can't wait to return to Belgium on 4th June at Blue Angels Bar, Roeselaere, which is one day after we play The Rambler, Eindhoven, Holland on the 3rd. We hope to be able to announce a further date, again in Belgium, on 5th June which will complete our UK/Euro Tour February-June 2011.
Prior to returning to Europe as above, we have a London date on 2nd June, after our gigs in Leicester, Nottingham, Ebbw Vale, Bradford, Durham & Carlisle. Good times! :)
Thanks again.
See you out there.

Recent press reviews....
Metal Detector / Rockureview.com. "A Way Of Life" album review.. "It’s not an often occurrence that I get bombarded with emails & messages from fans telling me that I’m overlooking something great.. a very, very new appeal & could only be described as a “NEW WAVE” of NWOBHM.. a huge feeling that FURY UK are well (& truly) on their way up to some extremely big things & great times. 10/10" Read more....
Guru. Live review: Saxon / Wolfsbane / Fury UK at Leeds O2 Academy "Luke, is all over the stage throughout the set, windmilling his hair to the hard rock they purvey, whilst drummer Martin McNee is akin to Animal of the Muppets. Although, Martin is the more accomplished skin-basher.. Chris, whose guitar skills are, (in my opinion), up there with Steve Vai, Joe Satriani and Eddie Van Halen. I expect greater things to come for this band; they certainly deserve it". Read more....
Many thanks to both reviewers.. Metal Detector & James McPhillips.

Wizzfest, Belgium
Monday, 21 March 2011
Thank you Wizzfest!
This was one awesome weekend. Played 2 amazing gigs in Belgium - Friday night at a bar venue called Grand Canyon which absolutely rocked & then at nearby Wizzfest on Saturday. The thank you list we will never get right here but mainly our hosts Wizz & Caroline, plus all their friends & family who put on the most amazing show, brilliantly run, & with a sell-out 450-strong crowd. To all the other bands including Blaze Bayley, Wizzard, Exit State, Nightvision - we were proud to be working & drinking with you! To all fans that attended & gave us such an unbelievable response, we salute you & will remember this gig always.
Thank you. \m/ \m/
We very much look forward to seeing many of you again soon as we play, along with our great friends Wizzard, at Blue Devils Bar in Arras, France on 6th May, then Cafe Metro in Warschoot, Belgium on 7th May. See you out there!
